Who's Kacey Wall?

Kacey Wall is an attorney, mother, wife and church volunteer with local roots three generations deep. She practices business law with the Glen Walker Law Firm.

Kacey Wall knows lunches. The 30-year-old attorney has time for one complete and unhurried meal a day and that treat comes at midday. Her favorite spot? Capone's Pub and Grill in midtown Coeur d'Alene.

"My favorite thing in the whole wide world is the Roosevelt salad at Capone's," Kacey says, her eyes widening at the mention of the salad pub owner Tom Capone learned to make from his wife Teresa's friend. The Roosevelt is a mix of chicken breast, caramelized walnuts, craisins, carrots, gorgonzola and croutons on greens dressed with raspberry vinaigrette.

Capone's vibrates with good cheer from opening until the wee hours of the morning. It's a gathering place for workers, sports fans, business people and families. Few locals enter the door without finding friends inside.

Capone's hosts live bands whenever Tom can book them. Reggae, rock and blues belt out from a stage at the ever-growing pub's west end. A reader board notifies passers-by on Fourth Street who's playing when.
Occasionally Kacey orders a Capone's pizza or sandwich. Capone's hand-makes its pizza crust offering 13 varieties and 15 different sandwiches. Crowd favorites are pastrami and cheese steak, and every sandwich arrives on a plate full enough to intimidate all but the biggest eaters.

"And they have the best garlic bread in town," Kacey says.
