Who's Tammy Schneider?
|
|
|
Tammy owns ZiSpa and as
president of Bridal Festival
has created happily ever aft
ers in the Northwest for two
decades. |
|
Tammy
Schneider spends her days pampering
clients at ZiSpa so it’s no surprise
that being on the receiving end of
culinary pampering is a treat.
"I love Chef in the
Forest because it feels so magical,"
she said. "It seems as if you’re
somewhere faraway, like a little
chalet tucked into the mountain."
The views of peaceful
Hauser Lake add to the ambiance.
Tammy visits Chef in the Forest in
both the summer and winter and finds
it difficult to choose a favorite
season, observing it’s equally as
beautiful on a warm summer night as
it is when the mountains are capped
with snow.
Chef in the Forest serves dinner
only, Wednesday through Sunday and
has long been a place where people
celebrate special occasions or go
just to escape the crowds.
The menu includes specialties
such as lamb and delicious steaks
and seafood. A favorite treat is
Cioppino, a crock baked dish with
lobster, shrimp, crab and scallops.
Tammy enjoys the beginning of each
meal, when bread and homemade butter
are served. She also appreciates the
above-average wine selection at the
quaint restaurant.
There are definitely benefits to
being a long-time local... you
always seem to know where those off
the beaten path culinary treasures
lie.
