Wade is an
owner/developer with
Silverstone Homes & Land
Company. He owns a condo at
Schweitzer and is an avid
skier, even enjoying the
adventure of helicopter
skiing. |

Wade Jacklin is a man of action,
always on the go enjoying life in
North Idaho. Even his preferred
dining experience features plenty of
action.
“I
enjoy everything about sitting at
Bonsai Bistro’s
sushi bar. We love the ambiance and
activity that happens when you watch
the fish prepared and served right
to you,”
he says.
Wade knows his sushi and considers
Bonsai’s
Travis Whiteside one of the best
sushi chefs around.
“I
like uni (sea urchin), toro (fatty
tuna) and salmon. Travis usually
comes up with something interesting
for me, too, like a roll he creates
on the spot with an off-menu item
like Escolar,”
remarks the adventuresome Mr.
Jacklin.
Bonsai Bistro’s
commitment to serve only the best is
evident with daily deliveries by air
of fresh fish.
Wade enjoys a
“spot
of sake”
to compliment his dining and an
extensive wine list is available,
also.
The Pan-Asian menu includes house
favorites such as wok-seared lettuce
wraps and Vietnamese salt and pepper
prawns. The tempura battered soft
shell crabs are listed as Drunken
Spyders on the menu and are a real
treat.
Wade enjoys Bonsai Bistro with Tanya
and their children, Talia and
Colton, too.
“We
always have a great time whether we’re
there as a couple, with friends or
out with our kids,”
he commented. The downstairs koi
pond provides another way to enjoy
fish ... as a soothing backdrop to
the sushi.
