Who's John Hough?
|
|
|
A Coeur d’Alene
native, he’s
the uncle of Dancing with
the Stars dancers Julianne
and Derek Hough. His
Roosevelt Inn Recipes
cookbook features the actual
recipes used at the inn. |
|
John Hough and his wife, Tina have
owned and operated the historic
Roosevelt Inn B & B for nearly a
decade and recognize the hallmark of
courteous service and attention to
detail. So when they have a rare
evening out or are making a
recommendation to their guests, John
doesn’t
hesitate to name The Wine Cellar as
a top pick.
“It‘s
a great place to meet friends around
the wine bar and listen to live
music each evening, but it’s
also a great place for a nice
romantic get away,
“
he said.
“It’s
just an all around great place to
dine.”
John appreciates the location of The
Wine Cellar, walking distance from
The Roosevelt Inn and in the heart
of downtown Coeur d’Alene.
“Being
literally located in a cellar adds
to the unique warmth and atmosphere
of the brick building.”
The Houghs prepare gourmet breakfast
for their own guests so are
discriminating in their choice of
restaurants. Tina loves the crab
manicotti at the Wine Cellar and
John’s
favorite is the Northwest salmon
served either smoked or teriyaki
marinated. They enjoy the experience
of the three-course dinner, too. The
Wine Cellar’s
appetizer menu includes escargot
baked in mushroom caps with garlic
and pesto butter and the unique pub
onions, seasoned and poached with
house made chicken sausage stuffing.
Wine lovers will find the selection
extensive and can also join the Wine
Club at this local bistro, wine bar
and cafe.
For John Hough, sending his own
guests to The Wine Cellar is the
best recommendation of all.
