Who's Christina Hatfield?

A Coeur d'Alene native, Christina is the former VP of Tourism for the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce and is now marketing Gozzer Ranch.

Christina Hatfield has lived all but four years of her life in Coeur d'Alene. She knows the city and loves everything about it. So much so that she's made a career of marketing the City by the Lake, first as the Vice President of Tourism for the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce and now for Gozzer Ranch. With an office in the former Blackwell House on 9th and Sherman Avenue Christina spends a lot of time downtown. It's no surprise that one of her favorite places for breakfast or lunch is Bella Rose bakery cafe and coffee house. A short walk from her office, Christina says, "they make the absolute best gorgonzola soup and a fantastic Albacore tuna melt."

The ambiance is cozy, like an Italian cafe. Inside seating includes a counter with tall stools facing the street for people watching all year around. In the warmer months there are sidewalk tables as well. Bella Rose features grilled panini sandwiches with descriptive names such as the muffaletta ham and salami, artichoke and roasted red pepper or the turkey havarti with cranberry chutney. For breakfast there are paninis, frittatas, baked oatmeal and housemade granola. The beverage selection at Bella Rose runs the gamut from Espresso and teas to wine and beer.

When time is an issue, orders made to go make the perfect eat in choice for those who work in the downtown area. "We often get our orders to go or sit outside in the summer," said Christina. The pastries and desserts are wide in variety and second to none in taste. She describes them in a word, "Excellent!"

Proprietors Marylin Boyd and Thea Drake have created a wonderful ambiance, one that customers like Christina appreciate and enjoy.
