Businessman Greg
Gervais leads a busy and active
North Idaho lifestyle so dining out
is a routine part of most days. A
triathlete, Greg is also into
physical fitness so it’s not a
stretch for him recommend
Fisherman’s Market & Grill as a
great place for lunch.
"Fresh fish is
brought in regularly," he said. "I
order Baja fish tacos, cioppino soup
or the clam chowder regularly."
Greg also admires
the ambiance, which he describes as
clean and bright with an industrial
urban feel. He likes the friendly
customer service and attention to
detail that comes from having the
owners behind the counter. Bob and
Jennifer Palm and their son, Matthew
all work at the establishment.
Open seven days a
week for lunch and dinner, the fare
includes fishwiches, fish and chips,
salads, snacks and a Taste of Baja
menu. They create eight different
varieties of tartar sauce, with
catchy names like Cap’n Dick’s,
Tokyo, and Cabo.
A new addition to
Fisherman’s Market is a logical one
... a sushi bar with well-known
sushi chef Travis Whiteside working
his magic during the market’s open
hours every day except Monday. With
dozens of varieties of rolls,
Whiteside’s signature specialties
include the Caterpillar Roll, with
freshwater eel, cream cheese,
avocado, cucumber, tobiko and sweet
eel sauce. Diners can also enjoy
beer, wine or sake with tap beer
from Coeur d’Alene Brewing Company.
Greg likes the
central location of Fisherman’s
Market on Kathleen Avenue, and the
opportunity to have fresh and
healthy options for lunch. If Greg
invites you to lunch, with any luck
he’ll treat you to Fisherman’s
Market.
